OUR VISION

Overcome was not created to be like other churches.  In fact, the goal of Overcome was to be totally different!  We wanted to really strip down everything to focus on two things - LOVING and SERVING.  At Overcome the Word of God, when heard in love is what is of primary importance.  It is from that Word that we go and serve as Christ calls us to love a broken world.  

We have clearly heard God say to us multiply. In other words, size doesn't matter at Overcome.  We believe Overcome can be a small group that meets in home.  Or a grouop that wants to worship at a Nursing Home.  Or even meeting at a local pub or eatery.  We believe Overcome is anywhere, because we know Jesus meets people everywhere.  It's a simple concept, but one that's truly changing lives! 

We keep hearing people say the same thing. We want an intimate church setting.  We want to know people.  We want authentic worship.  We want to serve.  We don't want the politics and hypocrisy of the church!  Well, we happen to agree with all of that, and that's why we are helping people start an Overcome expression in their own community.  Just reach out to us below and let's start talking.  Can't wait to watch God move!

When the first Church started, it was in response to the love of Jesus. We don’t know how many people were in the first Church, but numbers did not matter. What mattered most were people living out the call of Christ in community and love. OVERCOME strives to be just that.

We know that in Acts 2:42-47 the early church gave us the model for a true and authentic expresssion of God's love.  It did several things that we at Overcome try to emmulate.  Check them out below!
